RUMOURS linking Tottenham’s Gareth Bale with a move to Inter Milan have re-emerged.

The Welsh full-back was rumoured to be a possible target for Jose Mourinho during the January transfer window, but a move never surfaced.  Bale has suffered a number of injury problems since his switch to White Hart Lane two years ago but is still highly thought of by the management staff.

Inter have also been linked with a move for Porto’s Aly Cissokho, but Mourinho believes that Bale can become an better player Ashley Cole, who played under Mourinho at Chelsea.

Mourinho told the Il Corriere Dello Sport : ‘Bale has impressed me so much and I think he will become greater than Ashley Cole.’

Earlier this week, Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish expressed his interest in Bale.
