As much as I like Hudd, and I do. I don’t think he is an option for England at this stage. I’m Irish, by the way. Jenas-forget about it.

So would Lampard & Hudd work? There would be an even bigger gap. Lampard has only awareness in attack. My point is – who is English and can play with Huddlestone in midfield? Carrick no, Lampard no, Gerrard no, Jenas?

If you play Hudd and Barry in midfield, there will be enough of a gap to drive a limo through. Barry lacks pace and awareness and the Hudd is not assertive enough. Hudd has bags of ability but lacks mobility. Working with Capello canonly benefit his game.

I hope Capello knows what he is doing. People see Huddlestone as more of a defensive midfielder than an attacking one – due to his manor. However he definately is not a holding midfielder. If Capello is going to play him, he must partner him with Barry – who is clever enough to play any midfield role.

Very happy for Hoddlestone! I know what Spurs fans think, and they’re right, he’s a bit slow, but I’m happy for one of our better ball players!
