Tottenham want to sign Manchester City defender Micah Richards in the January transfer window, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 21-year-old right-back is said to be unhappy at being a regular in Mark Hughes’ side at Eastlands.

Richards faces a battle to force his way into Fabio Capello’s World Cup squad and is said to be aware of Tottenham’s interest.  Spurs had a £5million bid turned down three years ago.

  1. I think he would be a great signing and I reckon we could get him on the cheap. It wasn’t long ago that he was an England regular and was putting in performances worthy of a £20M plus player. I think if anyone can get him back to his best then its got to be ole ‘arry. He would also be great cover across our fragile back four and would probably make a better right back than Corluka. (sorry mate!)
