Tottenham Hotspur News - Spurs to offer Keane as bait for West Ham striker?
News | admin | January 24, 2010 at 12:03 pm
Tottenham Hotspur have offered Robbie Keane to West Ham United as bait to sign Carlton Cole, according to reports in the Sunday press.
The News of the World claim that Harry Redknapp is keen to bring in Cole and although West Ham owners David Sullivan and David Gold have already insisted they will hold onto their star players, Keane could fit the bill at Upton Park.
Keane has failed to rediscover his form since returning to White Hart Lane from Liverpool, with Sunderland, Aston Villa and Celtic all said to be interested.

This is just newspaper nonsense, as they have no real transfers to report. Keane is a much more valuable player than Cole will ever be, and after yesterdays performance, so is Pav.
Cole looks reasonably good at WHU because they don’t have any other strikers. He has failed at bugger clubs and at Spurs he would not get a game.
yeah, just would be so smart…..trade in our club captain for another giant of a centre forward!!!! sure while we’re at it, we may aswell sell our whole midfield cos at the rate we’re going, there all going to be by passed anyways!!!
the old long ball wimbledon tag is starting to come our way!
