Tottenham Hotspur News - Pavlyuchenko could still leave
News | Sam Parker | February 3, 2010 at 1:40 pm
Roman Pavlyuchenko’s agent has claimed negotiations are still ongoing with Daniel Levy, with the transfer window in Russia still currently open.
Pavlyuchenko is supposedly still keen on leaving White Hart Lane, despite coming back into the first-team picture again.
Spurs were happy to listen to offers for the Russian, but found no-one willing to meet their asking price.
Robbie Keane’s loan move to Celtic has left less competition for places, but Oleg Artemov is still talking with the Spurs chairman in the hope a move away could happen before the summer months.
There has been plenty of interest from his native Russia and Lokomotiv Moscow have reportedly made a £9.6million bid with the Russian transfer window open until March.
Artemov told the Daily Star, “I do not think Keane’s move to Celtic changes much in Pavlyuchenko’s destiny with Spurs.
“We are still in negotiations with Levy. I’m having another meeting with him in the next couple of days.”

Arternov is wasting his time meeting Daniel Levy – if he is meeting him at all. With Keane out on loan until the end of the season, Arternov should realise that this ends any hope of Pavlyuchenko leaving before the summer.
