Good result, the problem was we didnt have any width on the right. Fulham doubled up on Bale to try and restrict his raids down the left which should have given us space on the right but due to lack of a natural wide man the opportunity didn’t materialise.
I like most people think that Charlie is a good defender but am frustrated when he goes forward as he lacks pace which slows the momentum down when attacking teams.

Strikers thoughts. Crouch scored two for his country in the week – with his feet! Neither he nor Pav are that well served – crosses have to be into space or to the player when they have a chance to score, not useful or likely to be fruitful in the middle of a penalty area stuffed full of opposition defenders. Also, Pav likes to come in from outside the box where defenders don’t pick him up. He is often left standing, arms out, asking for the ball. The rest of the team need to look at this aspect of his play – suspect that, as elsewhere, lacking Lennon contributes to this failure. I remember Lennon finding Pav with one of those balls at a sharp angle to the left of his run and another to the far post both producing goals, in the early days of Pav at Spurs. Still, let’s not be curmudgeonly, a good result over all.

That was the worst game of football I’ve seen in ages…without
key players, we are painfully(AAAvveragge)!!!!!
Crouch is the worst player (At spurs/upfront) I can remember of
recent times. Good touch for a big guy (I hear), I dread watching
my own team (when he plays)…..”About as graceful as the drunks
outside the offy”. I hope we get back to proper football , Harry’s
decent….but starting to get on my nervous playing nearly men
for what>>>>ffs.

Just want to echo Dan’s shout- Crouch actually was the far better of our two strikers yesterday- he kept it to one or two touches, actually rarely wasting possession and had good work rate. Pav had little to feed off but his touch was unusually dreadful and he kept tripping over himself.

And as Tony said, this was a very good result against a team who excel at home and we now have an excellent chance at the Lane.

very pleased with this result- hope we don’t draw villa or chelski presuming these both get through- bassong did extremely well cos he had the most difficult of shackling Zamora who’s on fire at present.

Pav’s touch was awful, he barely completed a pass in the first half. Crouch was much better in that respect, bringing difficult balls down on his chest and laying off to Modric or Bale. You can’t make excuses for Pav on account of his heart not being in it! That’s why he’s barely started this season…

It’s hard to play against a team with 9 defenders like Fulham were and hoping for a goal on the break, Spurs will do well to remember this sometimes when we play teams like United. I think Crouch was out of his depth and every ball he had he wasted. Pav’s heart was not in it as he got no service and Defoe should have been teamed with him from the start and not Crouch. Modric and Bale worked well but we were missing Hudd because when he is in the team it gives them both a chance to do what they want. Gomes was again outstanding along with Dawson BAE was Ok but like most have said, Palacios was the Man of the Match …. but we do need to learn from this game a Fulham will play the same way next time.

a great result against a team with a excellent home record.w9,d2,L3.gf21,ga9.scalps at home,beat man u,3-0,pool,3-1.away record lets them down and we are in with good chance with our good home form.
