Tottenham Hotspur News - Bassong only thinking of victory
News | admin | March 11, 2010 at 12:13 pm
Sebastien Bassong is confident that Tottenham Hotspur can beat Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
The central defender has recently returned to the Spurs time due to Ledley King’s thigh injury and has stressed the importance of winning in order to finish fourth in the Premier League.
“We have to try and win every game as we look to finish in fourth place,” he told the club’s official site.
“We beat Blackburn at Ewood Park earlier in the season (2-0 in December) and we have to try to beat them at home. We can’t think about any other option.
“Every game is big now and this will be tough because Blackburn are a strong team but I believe we have the ability to beat them.”

EVERY GAME MUST BE PLAYED TO WIN NOTHING LESS IS FECKING RUBBISH !
Harry has to get the players set up for ten cup finals, constant pressing when without the ball and controlled passing when in possession taking every chance that comes along to score with placement of shot.No more opposition goalkeeping blinders as an excuse please.(even if they did happen to have one).
Is this some new idea that they have to TRY and win this game? And we pay how much a week for this chap to come up with the blatently obvious!! I do worry about some of the players we have, their mentality is just wrong or is it poor management. You dont hear Sir Alex Ferguson trying to win, you bloody win or else and that’s why they play with the fear of losing like their lives depended on it.
SD, I could not agree with you more, it will be nice to see some of our players get the hair dryer treatment when they are not performing.
