Johnathan Woodgate has undergone surgery in Australia in the hope of curing his groin issues.

Woodgate hasn’t played since the 9-1 victory over Wigan in November and has already been ruled out for the rest of the season.

The defender will remain in Australia for three weeks whilst recuperating from the surgery.

Harry Redknapp said, “The people there feel that have the right answer. Will he play again this season? There is no real chance.”
