Canaries want £25m for Tottenham target

Norwich City are demanding a staggering £25million for James Maddison.

The England Under-21 midfielder is being watched by Spurs and several other top flight clubs and looks certain to leave this summer and the Canaries have slapped the huge fee on his head knowing it is likely to be met.

The 21 year old cost just £2.5m from Coventry two years ago but has scored 14 times this season for Daniel Farke’s side and he also shone on loan for Aberdeen last season.

Despite Norwich sitting only 13th in the Championship, Maddison has chipped in with regular goals and assists, however Canaries are set to dig their heels in over any fee after losing fellow midfielder and former Spurs youth star Alex Pritchard to Huddersfield for £11m in the January transfer window.

The article in The Sun also credits Southampton and Championship leaders Wolves with having an interest in Maddison.

What do you make of Maddison? A useful addition to the squad, perhaps loan him back for a season? Let us know your thoughts
