Dele in talks with Ronaldo’s agent

Jorge Mendes, the so called “super agent” whose clients include Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho, has held formal talks with a member of Dele Alli’s family about adding the Spurs and England midfielder to his Gestifute agency according to an article by The Daily Mail.

Dele’s contract with Impact Sports Management does not expire until midway through next year, meaning there is no rush adds the article but it adds that the meeting with Mendes is an intriguing development especially with the agent’s close links with Real Madrid, who the article says are keeping close tabs on Alli’s development.

The article also says that Alli is known to fancy a move to the Bernabeu at some point in his career and that by becoming a Mendes client, it would certainly help facilitate any deal.

However it does add that we are
in a position of strength, with Alli’s current £50,000-per-week deal not due to expire until 2022, and there are plans are in place to extend that with a huge pay hike before the end of this season.

Spurs would demand a high price, well in excess of the £89.7m Manchester United paid Juventus for Paul Pogba it add but for now, Alli is focusing on being fit for Saturday’s north London derby.
