Kane laments wasted chances but satisfied with derby win

Who wants a reminder. Ok so here goes. We beat Arsenal 1-0 at Wembley on Saturday to move back into the top four of the Premier League, while also extending our lead over Arsene Wenger’s “men” to seven points in the race for Champions League qualification.

It did get a bit tetchy at times as we tried but failed to put the result beyond doubt in the final 15 minutes, and thus affording Arsenal the chance to steal a draw after Kane, Erik Lamela, Dele Alli and Kieran Trippier all spurned chances in front of goal but alas, and thankfully they didn’t see fit to take it

“It was a great game, we really played well, especially second half we had plenty of chances after we went 1-0 up,” Kane told Spurs TV online. It’s crazy it finished 1-0 but we’ll take it. In these big games you just need that first goal and the spaces open up and you get more chances.

Harry added: “That’s what happened, we should have been more clinical, we know that, but we played very well. We kept them quiet until the last five minutes when they piled on the pressure. But overall it was a good day.”

We now turn our attention to Tuesdays Champions League last-16 tie against Juventus, before taking on Rochdale in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

“It’s massive, it’s a big stage in our season and we’ve come out in flying colours,” Kane said.”We’ve got good momentum, the Champions League coming up, which we’re looking forward to, then we’ve got to keep it going in the league.”
