Messi looking to Dele

Another morning and another Tottenham star linked with a move away.

The Daily Star are reporting that Lionel Messi wants Dele Alli to replace Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic.

The article says that according to Spanish news outlet Don Balon the Argentine superstar wants the 21-year-old at the Nou Camp.

It’s suggested Messi views Alli as the long-term heir to Rakitic in the Barca engine room. At 29 one can imagine Barca aren’t ready to dump Rakitic just yet but it’s Don Balon after all & they also reckon Schalke star Leon Goretzka (who Spurs have been linked with) has also been mooted as a potential arrival.

The article adds that Messi, however, only has eyes for Alli.
also adding that England international has flourished since moving to Tottenham from MK Dons in 2015.

It continues to say that Mauricio Pochettino will be extremely reluctant to part with his prized asset, though, with Spurs eyeing silverware this term and Alli is a “key cog” in our first-team.

But the article does add that despite Messi’s eagerness to play alongside him, Don Balon say Alli isn’t the priority of Barca bigwigs.
Liverpool schemer Philippe Coutinho and Aletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann reportedly remain the clubs top targets.

Barca spent the entire summer chasing Coutinho and the Brazilian was said to be eager on a Nou Camp switch but Liverpool refused to do business and the playmaker remained at Anfield.

So Leo wants Dele but Barca want Phil!! Do we think Messi has really wants to play alongside Alli at the Nou Camp and are these the sort of rumours that can turn a young man’s head especially if he does sign up with one of the so called Spanish ‘Super Agents’ Let us know your thoughts?
