Rumour Mill: Another Winger Linked With Spurs

According to ESPN, yet another attacking player has been linked with a move to Tottenham, this time in the shape of Nice winger Vincent Marcel.

While scouting out loanee, Nice right-back Ricardo Pereira, Spurs apparently also caught sight of 20 year old French attacker, Vincent Marcel.

Marcel is a versatile attacking midfielder, able to play wide as well as tucked in-behind the striker, who made 10 appearances in all competitions for the French outfit last season.

According to Foot Mercato, an informal agreement between Tottenham and Marcel has already been reached, with a 5 year contract offered to the youngster by Spurs and a deal agreed ‘in principle’.

Additionally, it is reported that Marcel would very much be a future player for the club, as opposed to an immediate member of the first team.

So, although Marcel could very well be Tottenham’s first signing of the Summer, that does not necessarily mean we will see him play for the first team for quite some time and we will all therefore be expected Spurs to continue pursuing other deals.

It is currently unknown if a transfer fee of any kind has been agreed between Tottenham and Nice, so again, all this speculation could once again lead to nothing.
