Sanchez dismisses Madrid claims

Davinson Sanchez has dismissed suggestions he could be up for a move for Real Madrid this summer.

An article in The Mirror says the £42milion centre-back, 21, is among a number of players linked with a potential move to the Bernabeu as the defending Champions League holders plan a restructure this summer.

He has impressed with his performances since his arrival from Ajax last August, contributing to clean sheets in the wins over Manchester United and Arsenal.

He has also retained his position in the team despite the return to fitness of Toby Alderweireld and the article says It has led to suggestions that the Colombian could be the latest big name for whom Spurs will have to fight to hang on to.

Sanchez added: “As big as Madrid is, no matter how big a team are, that has won what they have won, if the conditions are not favourable for me, unfortunately I cannot accept.”

Mauricio Pochettino has already hailed the impact made by Sanchez, insisting the best is yet to come.
He said: ‘The conditions he has are amazing to be one of the best centre-halves in the world. At 21-years-old he showed he is so brave. He takes risks but he is not reckless.I think he’s one of the best today but has potential to improve a lot more.”
