Spurs chase £100m Lazio duo

According to The Sunday Mirror Spurs are ready to part with a £100million plus to land Lazio duo Sergey Milinkovic-Savic and Ciro Immobile this summer.

The article starts by saying Serbian international midfielder Milinkovic-Savic, 23, and 28-year-old Italy striker Immobile have been well scouted by the club in the last few weeks.

It goes on to say it will take a fee in excess of £100m to land both, with Spurs set to make funds available by off-loading a number of players on the fringes.

It adds that Spurs’ plan is to maintain the core of the side that has blossomed under boss Mauricio Pochettino, but ship out several of those on the fringes, with some big names set to move on.

Danny Rose – a long-time Manchester United target – outcast Toby Alderweireld, and midfielders Mousa Dembele, Victor Wanyama and Moussa Sissoko all will go.

It goes on to say that only one who has nailed down a first-team spot is Dembele, however the Belgian has recently celebrated his 30th birthday, and there is a feeling the club will have to cash in now if they want to recoup any of the £15million he cost from Fulham in 2012 and there are concerns over his long term fitness.

That money will be then be used to freshen up Pochettino’s squad ahead of the move back to the club’s new £750million home.

The article goes on to say that Daniel Levy will rebuff attempts from Real Madrid to prise star man Harry Kane away from White Hart Lane and the club remains adamant no player will be allowed to leave without Mauricio Pochettino’s blessing.

The article concludes by saying capturing either Milinkovic-Savic or Immobile will be a coup.
Milinkovic-Savic is only 23 and is being chased by several of European football’s biggest clubs and in Immobile it would give Mauricio Pochettino an alternative to Kane up front, as he looks for a striker who can take the goalscoring weight off the England star.
