Tottenham players are on their way back to north London following a short training camp in the sunny climes of Barcelona, Erik Lamela revealed on his Instagram feed.
The Daily Mail describes how Argentine midfielder posted a photo of his team-mates on their flight home from Spain, after the lads enjoyed several days away from the cold winter weather ahead of their next game against Southampton.
The article adds that the Tottenham squad were not the only athletes escaping the rain and howling winds as 200-metre world champion Dafne Schippers was completing her own winter regime at the same training complex.
It adds that Mauricio Pochettino and Harry Kane posed for a photo with the sprinter, who is now one of Holland’s most famous athletes after her gold-winning performance in at the World Championships in London last summer adding that She also picked up bronze in the 100m event.
Schippers wrote: “It is not every day that top coach #mauriciopochettino and one of the best strikers in the world @harrykane from @spursofficial come visit your training camp”
Following Tottenham’s 4-0 win over Everton last weekend, Pochettino spoke of the importance of training camps at this time of the season.
