There has been plenty of talk in the past few weeks about a Tottenham player potentially joining Aston Villa before the end of the transfer window and it appears that it could be Andros Townsend, not Emmanuel Adebayor.
Townsend has yet to feature in a match for Spurs so far this season after nursing respective shoulder and ankle injuries and could be set to link back up with his former boss Tim Sherwood in a loan deal.
Andros has been stunning on times whilst wearing an England shirt but has suffered indifferent form when he plays for us. His shoot on sight policy can be very frustrating, especially when most end up in the North upper.
He needs some regular first-team football and a loan spell at Villa Park may be the best option for both the player and for us.
