Atouba on the move

Former Tottenham defender Thimothee Atouba has joined Ajax.

The Cameroon international links up again with Martin Jol, who had previously been in charge at Hamburg where he signed Atouba from Spurs.

He has penned a two year contract with the Dutch side.

Atouba spent just one season at White Hart Lane in 2004/05 where he made 18 appearances – Spurs fans will probably remember him for his only goal, a curling effort against Newcastle United.

Timothy Atouba was hilarious, his timing was unbelievably off, but if Martin is signing him perhaps he must have improved after all that time away…??
