Spurs News - Bruce rules out Bentley move
News | Sam Parker | November 3, 2009 at 7:28 pm
Steve Bruce has rated a January move for David Bentley has “very unlikely.”
Bruce is keen to add to his Sunderland squad during the winter break and rumours had suggested that Bentley could move to the north east.
Bentley has started the last two games for Spurs, but is more often than not out of the side, with Aaron Lennon generally preferred on the right side of midfield.
Bentley has spent the last year in limbo, having difficulties on and off the pitch and has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane for some time.
But Bruce is uncertain about being able to bring Bentley to the Stadium of Light in January.
“David Bentley is a good player, but I would consider a move for him very unlikely.”
