Ledley King looks set to be named in England’s final World Cup squad after Fabio Capello all but confirmed it.

The Italian has until Tuesday to name his final 23 for South Africa and Capello has hinted that King will play in a run out against local PSL team Platinum Stars in Rustenburg on either June 6 or 7.

“King is an important player and he is a good player,” said Capello.

“I decided before the game King would play for the full 90 minutes against Mexico.

“Now he can train for the rest of the period we stay in Austria.

“We have another match on June 6 or 7 when we get to South Africa and he can play then.”
