Carlo Cudicini is hoping that his form this season will be enough to earn him a new deal at Spurs.

Cudicini’s contract ends at the end of the season and the 36 year-old is keen on extending his stay at the club.

The Italian has been called in to cover for the injury-prone Heurelho Gomes on numerous occasions, making eight appearances so far this season.

Cudicini said, “”My contract is about to expire, but I would be happy to remain at Tottenham.

“However, I would consider italian clubs if that wasn’t possible.”
