Another day and another transfer rumour linking yet another central defender with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
In previous days we’ve seen Alfie Mawson, Harry Maguire and Matthias Ginter all said to be on Spurs’ radar and now it’s the turn of 20-year-old Argentine stopper Juan Foyth.
According to the Sunday Mirror, Tottenham have already sent scouts to Pochettino’s homeland to have the player watched on numerous occasions for Estudiantes.
The player has a £5million release clause on his contract and would at least feel more comfortable moving all this way under a compatriot.
Let’s wait and see if there’s any substance to this report, or if it’s another column-filling rumour. Personally, I’ve never heard of him or seen him play so can’t say if he would be a good player or would join and link up with our Under-21 squad in the first process.
