Congolese forward Tresor Mputu Mabi has claimed he is ready for a move to Europe, with Tottenham Hotspur long-term admirers.
The TP Mazembe captain wasn’t prepared to leave the club without delivering a trophy, but with Mazembe defeating Nigerian side, Heartland in the African Champions League, the attacker has declared his interest in moving to the big time.
Mputu Mabi is one of the most highly-rated and highest-paid players in Africa at the current time and has long been linked with a large number of top European sides.
He had however refused to leave until he helped bring silverware to Congolese outfit, TP Mazembe.
He told BBC Sport, “I promised the team that I wouldn’t leave before winning a cup and now I’ve managed to do this.
“Now that I have delivered the cup to the president of TP Mazembe, for sure I’m free to move now, because I’ve completed my mission.”
