Peter Crouch has warned Tottenham fans that they should expect some tough games ahead, starting with Manchester United this weekend.
Spurs are currently unbeaten in the Premier League after winning their opening four fixtures.
He said: “You can play great football like we did at Hull, a fantastic performance, but sometimes you have to dig in and get a result and that’s what we did on this occasion (against Birmingham.)
“Teams realise we’ve got a lot of quality and they will perhaps sit back with one up front and try to nick a goal on the break
“We’ve got to expect that and overcome that and as we proved against Birmingham, if we keep going, we can get the results.
“You have to look at the teams who win titles, Manchester United, Chelsea – they play fantastic football but sometimes they dig in and win 1-0, even at home.”
