Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the exit of Pascal Chimbonda to Blackburn.

The full-back moves to Ewood Park for a fee said to be in excess of £2million as he looks to play regular first-team football.

Chimbonda, 30, has signed a two-year contract with Rovers and is eligible to make his debut on Saturday against West Ham.

In his two spells at Spurs, he made a total of 103 appearances and scored four goals.

1 of the most pointless signings when we re signed him, didn’t make sense when we already had good cover.

Think he was re-signed as a utility player, but with BAE shocking everyone by staying fit and playing well, plus Harry getting King playing games semi-regularly it turned out we didn’t need him. He was pretty crap in those positions we needed cover for anyway. Not sad to see him go. After his shocking behaviour in the carling cup final (storming off after being subbed and then returning bold as brass for the celebrations for those with short memories) I was gutted we ever re-signed him.
