The Sun are reporting that Jermain Defoe is set to start for England against Slovenia this afternoon.

The Tottenham Hotspur striker has only played 16 minutes of England’s World Cup campaign so far, when he came on against Algeria.

There has been talk about just playing Wayne Rooney up front on his own, but according to this report, Defoe will partner Rooney at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth
