Defoe welcomes Pienaar to Spurs

New team-mate Jermain Defoe welcomed Pienaar’s arrival, suggesting it proved Tottenham were now the equal of Chelsea.

The striker said on Twitter: “signings (sic) Steven Pienaar is a massive coup for spurs this deal really shows how far we have come when a top player rejects a big club 4 us.”

    That is a fake Defoe account. Notice it is JermainE Defoe and not Jermain Defoe.

    That isn’t Defoe’s Twitter.

    For one his name is spelt ‘Jermaine Defoe’ on that account, which is wrong.
