Giovani Lo Celso drops the biggest hint yet about his future

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Giovani Lo Celso since before they lost the Champions League final to Liverpool (BBC).

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder only joined Real Betis on a permanent transfer earlier this year after a successful season long loan deal from PSG.

The Sun reported that Tottenham are closing in on a £45million deal for the Argentina international with the La Liga side having been holding out for around £60million (The Sun) for the player who has an £88million release clause in his contract (BBC).

Betis are set to make a significant profit on Lo Celso after paying just £20million to secure his services on a permanent basis (The Sun).

PSG are entitled to 20 per cent of the future transfer fee, while Argentine club Rosario who sold Lo Celso to PSG back in 2016 will earn three per cent.

Lo Celso took to Twitter this evening to hint that he could be on the move before the start of the new campaign by posting a Tweet in Spanish which translates to “This season I will have the new T-shirt design?”.
