Gomes could spoil Cudicini’s Chelsea return

Tottenham Hotspur have been boosted by the news that Heurelho Gomes could be fit to face Chelsea on Sunday.
The Brazilian goalkeeper has missed the last four games with a groin injury and was named as a substitute against Manchester United last weekend.
Gomes’ return could mean that Carlo Cudicini, who stepped in for the 28-year-old could miss the opportunity to face his former side at Stamford Bridge.
Who do you want to start in goal vs Chelsea? Gomes or Cudicini?

Good news. I used to think Cudicini was a good keeper until recently. He doesn’t command his area properly. Yes, he is a good shot stopper usually, but in consecutive matches he has made bad errors against Birmingham when Hutton was shielding the ball for him to come out and pick it up, he didn’t move and it resulted in a goal. The next was not closing down Rooney for United’s 3rd and also not getting anywhere near Gigg’s freekick!
Welcome back Gomes!
think carlo should start
I agree with Dom as there was no way those first 2 goals would have beaten Gomes. Cudicini is small and cover less space. From what I have seen, Gomes is lots better than Cudicin and should start if fit.
carlo covers his space very well for a small keeper and is much more reliable at crosses etc. Just don’t have trust in gomes at times
would love paul robinson back at the lane!
Gomes should start
