Luka Modric - Header

Harry Redknapp is hopeful that Luka Modric will be fit enough to play for Tottenham against Portsmouth.

The Croatian international fractured right fibula in the win against Birmingham last month and the upcoming break of two weeks, due to World Cup qualifiers could be enough time for him to recover to play his part in the encounter at Fratton Park on October 17.

“He’s coming along okay, it’s a matter of waiting for the bone to heal now,” Redknapp said.

“We’ll see how it goes. We have a break of two weeks coming up after the Bolton game so that could be enough time to get him back playing after that international break.”

Hope So but shouldn’t rush him back too soon until fully fit.

The team line up could be interesting then.

when he is fit i would go with him on left palacios and niko in middle and lennon on the right. We have amazing strenth in midfield this year, with jenas, bale, bentley, hudd and gio all pushing to get into side as well. Not to mention the strenth in depth up front, i don’t think harry is wrong not playing pav just think he is very unlucky with the other 3 on fire at the mo. At the back i hope the defence has better luck with injuries than so far, many would say its prob our weak link right now. Think hutton will be sold, which will open the door for naughton- who i rate high- to fight corluka at right back.. In goal on his day gomes is one of the best, but off day he is one of the worst, just hope he sticks with the form of the 2nd part of last season. Up the yids!
