Harry hints at Modric’s Tottenham return

Harry Redknapp is hopeful that Luka Modric will be fit enough to play for Tottenham against Portsmouth.

The Croatian international fractured right fibula in the win against Birmingham last month and the upcoming break of two weeks, due to World Cup qualifiers could be enough time for him to recover to play his part in the encounter at Fratton Park on October 17.

“He’s coming along okay, it’s a matter of waiting for the bone to heal now,” Redknapp said.

“We’ll see how it goes. We have a break of two weeks coming up after the Bolton game so that could be enough time to get him back playing after that international break.”
