Harry won’t sell Walker

News | Sam Parker | March 24, 2011 at 3:03 pm

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has poured cold water over the idea that Kyle Walker’s loan stint at Aston Villa could be made permanent.

Walker has caught the eye since joining the Villains on loan in January, earning himself an England call-up in the process.

Gerard Houllier was reportedly trying to get his board to free up £10million in the summer to sign him outright, but Redknapp expects Walker back at White Hart Lane to stake his place for a first team spot.

Redknapp said, “Kyle will be back here for sure, he’s still elarning and got miles to learn, but he is a talent, a real prospect.

“He has got got all the attributes to be an England right-back of the future. He’ll come back here and push for a place.”

Too right. He must be learning lots about the defensive side of being a right back during Villa's relegation fight. Good experience – finally a Spurs youngster getting a Premiership loan. We would be crazy to sell him….and we won't. Future England player.

I’m sorry, Tony, but I’m going to have to disagree with you. Kyle Walker is NOT a furture England player. He’s a CURRENT England player. ;) Woohoo! COYS!
