A look ahead to Huddersfield v Spurs

Spurs are obviously on a high after their last few games, but Huddersfield have a good record so far with clean sheets, so it’s not going to be as easy, as perhaps it looks to some Spurs fans.

Maybe now that Deli Alli has missed a game, he will be fresher & hopefully more like his old self in front of goal. For me he looked hesitant & unsure of himself in a couple of one on ones against West Ham. We will have more fresh legs with Jan Vertonghen back in the side after missing the CL victory, also due to suspension.

With S. Aurier out due to his red card last weekend, the more than capable K.Trippier will more than likely take his place, & in fact he can cross a ball more accurately.

I’m not a great fan of E.Dier, so I would prefer to see H.Winks playing in front of the back three, as Harry’s last two appearances were very good. With injuries to both M.Dembele and V. Wanyama, I feel that H.Winks is the best cover. Although M.Demeble plays a holding midfield roll, with surging runs forward, & V.Wanyama protects the back three, H.Winks can run with the ball better then E.Dier, reads the game better, & his execution as well as vision with passes is far superior too.

Despite M. Sissoko having one of his better games in a Spurs shirt, in the CL on Wednesday night, I still think he should be on the bench and Son should start.

My team would be:

Kane

Alli

Eriksen Son

Davies Trippier

Winks

Vertonghen. Sanchez Anderweireld

Lloris

Whilst predictions are never easy, I’m going for a Spurs 3-0 win!
