“I don’t think we will let him go too easily”

Peter Crouch

Joe Jordan has insisted that Peter Crouch will be staying at Tottenham.

The England striker has been linked with a return to Liverpool under new boss Roy Hodgson, but the powers that be at White Hart Lane have no interest in selling Crouch.

Jordan believes that the beanpole forward has impressed during his stint at the club – and the fans of course will never forget his header which secured Champions League football at Manchester City.

“I don’t think we will let him go too easily,” Jordan told ESPN Sport.

“We had a lot of competition when we brought Peter in and he has done very, very well,” said Jordan.

“He is a player that has proved himself at Tottenham.”

I want more than anything for us to put a bid in for Adebayor. May sound strange, but the guy would probably love to stick 2 fingers up at the Gooners, and there's no doubt he's a class act. There's a question mark over his attitude, but if anyone can keep that in check, it would be HR. The fact is, he holds up the ball brilliantly, is remarkably quick for such a big guy, can score with his head and has quick feet. Would be ideal to play in the much suggested 4-2-3-1 formation. He would be our Drogba. Plus, the Gooners would hate it! I reckon we could get him for a cool 20 million. It'll be worth it…

Can understand it would be hard for some fans to consider but I have to say Adebayor and Defoe up front would be awesome. I would see that and being 1 of the few players we have been linked with that would actually improve us.
A lot of the players being talked about this year are no better and sometimes worse than what we already have.
eg. Huntelaar: Is he really that much better than any of Pav Crouchy or Keane. Ashley Young is he better than either bale or lennon.
I would rather a cheeky bid for Downing less money and harder working than Young.

Adebayor? Yes!!!!! I've always thought he's brilliant. He would be worth every bit of the 22m quid we're said to be offering for him.

when you have a good squad of players their is no need to buy buy buy
