Celtic’s hopes of taking Robbie Keane back on loan from Tottenham Hotspur have been dashed by Harry Redknapp.

The Republic of Ireland international was wanted back at Parkhead by boss Neil Lennon, but Redknapp does not feel another loan move is suitable for Spurs.

“I wouldn’t think that’s a possibility no, because we paid good money for him and to loan him out again, it wouldn’t be a goer,” Redknapp said.

“If Robbie’s not happy when the season starts and he’s not playing then we’ll sit down and discuss it.

“And if he wants to move someone will have to buy him but I’m hoping he comes back in to the team and makes a real impact.”

Oh well it seems Gudjohnsen is coming in and Keano is moaning already. Whats wrong, did he not get first digs in a warm up game or something. Any player that cannot accept the need for rotation and a big squad should not be at the club. You cannot play every game so move to Celtic if you want and gorge on goals a plenty in the Scottish pub league. Anyway Harry, this is a good move and we can ideally have 5 to choose from unless one leaves.
