Giuseppe Rossi’s agent has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have been to watch the striker.
The Italian international is contracted to Villarreal, where he has scored 33 goals in 91 games.
Rossi has previously played in England as a youngster at Manchester United and there is also interest from Italy.
“I feel that the player can leave Villarreal because this is a period of downsizing for the club,” Rossi’s agent Andrea Pastorello told calciomercato.it
“Several teams like Giuseppe in Italy.
“Juventus and Roma are important clubs, also Napoli and Fiorentina, but there are no real negotiations yet.
“I’m not sure whether Rossi will certainly come back to Italy, in recent weeks he was also viewed by several English clubs such as Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City.”

A skillful goalscorer (although record very much flatters to decieve!)
Would be a good signing for us especially if we get rid of Pav and Keano.
Where goes Rossi sit in terms of ability compared to Keane, Defoe, Crouch, Pav and Gudjohnson? On the outside looking in from my end.
