Redknapp insists no bid for winger

Harry Redknapp - Tottenham Hotspur News

Harry Redknapp has played down talk linking Spurs with a move for Celtic’s James Forrest.

The 20-year-old was watched by Spurs scouts during Celtic’s 2-0 win at St Mirren on Saturday – with Forrest getting himself on the scoresheet.

This is not the first time that Spurs have sent scouts north of the border to watch the winger which has fuelled speculation that a bid could be made for the player before the end of the month. Redknapp however insists that no bid has been made.

“He’s a good player,” Redknapp said. “We’ve not made any bids. If we did I would speak to Neil Lennon.

“He’s a player we have watched but he belongs to Celtic.

“At the moment we’re not in the market to really do anything. We’re looking at a few options but nothing definite.”
