Report: Hernandez in, Adebayor out?

The Daily Telegraph are reporting that Tottenham Hotspur will move for Javier Hernandez in January, providing they can sell Emmanuel Adebayor.

There’s no doubt that Hernandez is a good striker in the style of a poacher, however that is not the type of forward which we need. Adebayor continues to be overlooked by AVB, whether it be the Premier League, Europa League or Capital One Cup – he just cannot get a kick.

The Togo international was the subject of heavy interest from Turkish club Besiktas, the potential stumbling block is the massive pay packet which the Telegraph claim is £175,000-a-week.

Hernandez is said to be frustrated at the lack of regular football at United, and Arsenal are also said to be monitoring the Mexican’s situation. Whether Adebayor will get a kick in a Spurs shirt between now and January remains to be seen.

Speculation over Hernandez’s future at Old Trafford increased after he retweeted the report by Sky Sports Football stating he “will have to consider his future at Man United if he does not play regularly.”
