Stoke want Defoe in £6m deal

Stoke City have made Jermain Defoe their main striking target of the summer transfer window according to the Daily Mail.

New Stoke boss Mark Hughes is said to be keen to partner Defoe once again with Peter Crouch in the hope the pair can rekindle the partnership they enjoyed at Spurs, Portsmouth and England.

According to the report, Spurs are prepared to listen to offers of £6million for the 30-year-old, who has two years left on his contract at White Hart Lane and earns £65,000-a-week.

We all know that our strikers failed to deliver last season. Defoe and Adebayor failed to live up to their expectations in front of goal in what proved costly in the race for Champions League football.

Spurs have been linked with David Villa, Christian Benteke and Roberto Soldado as AVB looks to spice up our attacking options.

WOULD YOU SELL DEFOE? WHO WOULD YOU REPLACE HIM WITH? HAVE YOUR SAY…
