Kane facing spell on the sidelines

Harry Kane left Bournemouth on crutches with plans for scan on his ankle after injuring his right ankle in our 4-1 win at the Vitality Stadium.

Kane hit the back of the net after 30 minutes before the linesman ruled it out for offside, however, he collided with Asmir Begovic in the process, the 24-year-old then sat down in discomfort, holding his right ankle with pain etched on his face and Mauricio Pochettino has admitted he is concerned about the injury.

“I am concerned until tomorrow, and the scan. We can say nothing more,” Pochettino said.

“Of course I worry about him, his ankle we hope it is not a massive issue for him and the team and hope he can recover as soon as possible and be available.”

It may well be ankle ligament damage and the same injury that he suffered last season against Sunderland on September 18 in 2016, which kept Kane out for seven weeks, returning on November 6th vs Arsenal.

If it is indeed the same diagnosis, it would keep Kane out until April 30th when we take on Watford.

Kane launched a bottle in frustration after receiving medical assistance before making his way off the pitch and eventually down the tunnel, with Mauricio Pochettino replacing him with Erik Lamela shortly after.

It will also be a huge concern for Gareth Southgate, should the problem be serious.Though Kane’s ability to walk by himself off the pitch was positive.
