Robbie Keane could also be on his way to Craven Cottage to team up with his former Tottenham manager Jol.

Keane spent the last part of the season on loan at West Ham United and a potential move was scuppered following the Hammers relegation to the Championship.

According to the Sun, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is prepared to accept around £4million to finally offload Keane, however is £70,000 a week wage demands could prove to be a stumbling block.

Keane is over the hill and never was that good. Let's get rid and get a striker who strikes. Our strikers seem to do everything well except strike.
  2. Terry says:
Redknapp's big mistake wasnever playing Keane & Pav together both class players where as Crouch & Defoe are very limited players Harry messed up on this one.

redknapp’s big mistake was buying him back, an over-rated striker who on the back of one impressive season decided that he was too good for us, he got found out at pool where unlike us they don’t accept their strikers missing sitters. even though we bought him back cheaper i still cannot help feeling that we were ripped off, since he has come back he has not had a full season with us simply because he has been shit, he has been given plenty of chances( he is a redknapp favorite ) it was only when it became obvious that his confidence was shot did redknapp drop him. if i was levy i would be pissed off with this especially having ripped liverpool off in the original deal.
