Lawro predicts Spurs to beat QPR

BBC football pundit Mark Lawrenson has predicted that Tottenham Hotspur will beat QPR on Sunday.

He told BBC Sport Online: “QPR’s win over Chelsea last week was massive for them – they need to keep picking up points – and they have bounced back pretty well since being hammered 6-0 by Fulham at the start of October, as you would expect with the way their manager Neil Warnock is.

“But Tottenham are on a good run, playing great football and they will be far too strong for Rangers in midfield.

“Spurs are my favourites for fourth place. They have competition for places and reinforcements, which is exactly what you want. They always look capable of scoring goals too.

“Prediction: 3-0.”

    This bloke is always wrong but I do think this will be the most entertaining game of the season so far, we should run out as easy winners but there will be loads of goals.

    With attacking flair in Wright-Phillips, Taarabt, Faurlin, Bale, VDVaart, Adebayor and Modric……then poor defenders in Bassong, Hall, Clint Hill and Armand Traore the score could be mad.

    I fancy Luke Young to deal with Bale quite well but Lennon has a massive chance against who ever plays left back.

    Lets hope the like of Derry, Barton, Parker and Sandro dont kill the game

    3-0 Tottenham wins with such margin? I can't argue with that in theory of course. But then again it's football, anything can happen. Chelsea was favorite prior last Sunday's but end up losing. There are a quite number of bets with odds in favor of QPR winning it actually, how's that possible? Firstly it's an away game and QPR proves to be capable at it, secondly 6-0 lost to Fulham and how fans react positively towards it somehow boosted their morale like a reverse psychology after effect, thirdly so called 'Divine Rights' another words to describe of psychological advantage of big clubs towards new comers are no longer automatic, last but not least there will be 3000 of R's fans coming as 12th player. And me of course at home pounding my war drums this weekend.
