BBC football pundit Mark Lawrenson has predicted that Tottenham Hotspur will beat Portsmouth on Saturday.
He told BBC Sport Online: “This is the curtain-raiser for the FA Cup semi-final meeting between the sides.
“Tottenham are in fourth and have some tough games coming up, so they really need to win this one. Pompey are cruising to the semi-final because with all due respect to them, they’re relegated already.
“Portsmouth might be forgiven if they chose to leave players out between now and their 11 April Wembley appearance because it would be massive for them if they got to an FA Cup final this season – not to mention what a boost it would be for their finances.
“Prediction: 2-0.”
