Lennon surgery fears calmed

Tottenham have been boosted by the news that Aaron Lennon will not require surgery on his groin injury and could infact feature in Sunday’s clash with Wigan Athletic.
Lennon has been in fine form this season and seemed a shoe-in to represent England in this summer’s World Cup.
The winger suffered a groin injury at the end of the packed Christmas schedule and there were fears that he could require a hernia operation that vould keep him out for a large portion of the season.
But Harry Redknapp is confident that Lennon will not need surgery and he could include him in his squad for the trip to the DW Stadium.
Redknapp said, “He is happier every day, so hopefully it could be next weekend. He won’t need an operation.”

I would not be at all surprised if Lennon really needs an operation with this type of injury, but because of the world cup and Spurs’ form without him I expect he will be rushed back and then break-down more seriously.
you’ve got the right name haven’t you Dozy.
