Modric no longer able to fulfil dream at Spurs

Luka Modric has given his strongest indication yet that he wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The Spurs midfielder has stated of his desire to play in the Champions League next season and cannot do so with us after Chelsea’s European win meant that we have to settle for Europa League football once again.

Modric was the subject of three failed bids of around £40million from Chelsea last summer but it’s expected that he will now be allowed to leave for pastures new. Hopefully from our perspective it will be for a club outside of the Premier League and for a fee of over £40million.

“Here I am no longer able to fulfil my dream,” he told Spanish newspaper Marca.

“I’m going to play in the Champions League – I want to win this competition.”
