Spurs confident of striker deal despite Palace interest

We all know that another quality striker has to be the priority for our transfer targets at Tottenham this summer.

One striker we’ve continually been linked with for a number of months is Marseille’s Michy Batshuayi.
Today it emerged that Crystal Palace have apparently had a £31million bid accepted for the Belgian international with Marseille facing a transfer embargo if they fail to raise £21million before July 5th.
Tottenham are yet to meet Marseille’s valuation of £31million (no surprise there) as according to the Daily Mail, Spurs feel they can land the player at a better price and are confident of attracting the player despite the Palace bid.
Batshuayi scored 17 goals in 36 appearances in League 1 for France last season and the 22-year-old is exactly the type of striker we need to try and take some of the goalscoring burden off Harry Kane.
