Luka Modric’ agent has brought welcome news to Tottenham ears by rubbishing claims that his client is set to leave White Hart Lane this summer.
Modric has regularly seen his name linked with the biggest clubs in the world, with Juventus, Inter Milan and Manchester United all heavily rumoured to be chasing his signature.
Spurs have repeatedly insisted that the Croatian is not for sale, and his agent has indicated Modric is happy to stay with Tottenham.
“Juventus and Inter’s interest? These are just rumours,” Modric’ representative Mario Mamic said.
“Luka has a contract until 2016 and Tottenham have no plans to sell him.
“He has an excellent relationship with coach Redknapp and only signed a contract extension with Spurs last summer.
“Even before he signed for Tottenham [in 2008], there were never any concrete offers from Italy.”
