If Modric stays with us another season, the goals will come. Losing him will be a step backward.
Stoney, a player like u described won’t come cheap. And Modric will get there.
Steve, u actually want Berba back after what he did??? U got to be joking! He deserves his pityful spell at MU. They might just sell him to a French club.

I said a few weeks ago he is the one Man Utd are sniffing around. I dont want to lose any of our players (well except Keane and Jenas) and perhaps now more than ever highlights how vital it is we get into the CL this season. For me he is a great playmaker, not a goalscorer though but not too many of his type around. Perhaps this is why we bought Sandro as his replacement. Normally when Ferguson starts his player praising he gets his man in the end. We need to for once try to keep our decent squad together and not become a club that feeds Utd year on year with a good player for a big fee in return. We are not skint so dont need the money. However if they swap him for Berbatov I might not be so sad about it, he made a boob going there and pairing him back with Defoe could be great again and may help him to re-discover the talent he has not shown for them.

That isn’t even a Â£10m profit on one of our best players. If he’d come through the ranks it might be tempting but he is a key player now and the ‘big boys’ are worried by our progress. Expect a summer of rumours linking all of our top players away from the club. Also expect them all to stil be here when the window closes at the end of August. I’d want at least Â£50m and no Carrick before even considering an offer. Somehow I don’t think Man Utd have that spare even with the sale of Ronaldo. However they can have Jenas if they want, Â£10m will do.

I like the idea of Rooney plus cash Other than that, keep Modric (obviously) and bid £25m for Rooney.
Anyone voting 'yes' for selling Mod has gotta be on another planet…………

I think I’d be ok with selling him to united for Â£25m+. He is a great player, has a fantastic engine and is a tough little cookie but he just doesn’t score goals. We need a midfielder that will get us a dozen or so a season, all the top teams have one, and modders has proved that shooting is by far the weakest part of his game. In fact I’d go as far as saying it’s really quite appalling.
