Modric won’t start against Man City

Harry Redknapp admits that Luka Modric is likely to be named among the Tottenham substitutes once again for the visit of Manchester City.
The midfielder returned to action as a replacement against Wolves on Saturday, but is now feeling the strain of playing his first 30 minutes of football since August.
“He couldn’t train on Monday, he was so sore – his groins, hamstrings, everything,” Redknapp said.
“He hasn’t played so to suddenly get half an hour into him was hard.
“As hard as he has trained with the fitness coaches every day, there is nothing like playing games and the game certainly took a big toll on him on Saturday.”
