Monaco have told Tottenham Hotspur that they won’t allow Eidur Gudjohnsen to make his move to White Hart Lane permanent.
The former Barcelona forward has admitted that he is loving his loan spell at Spurs and both player and Harry Redknapp have expressed an interest in making the move permanent.
A Monaco spokesman said: ‘We are pleased that Eidur is enjoying his time in England but we expect him to come back, we want him to.
‘Monaco are not interested in negotiations for a permanent move and will ignore any bids. He has a future here.’
